PROJECT: Kislingbury Bridge Strengthening

Weldon special projects undertook the strengthening of a 600 yr old bridge in Northamptonshire. Works consisted of damning off an existing river to enable works to be accessed from underneath the bridge arches.
 
Steel reinforcing was drilled into the existing stone work and spray concrete was applied, to build up the construction to the bridge.
 
Testing of the materials used was carried out during the works to ensure that the materials obtained their maximum strengths.
