Weldon Plant Ltd and their employees embraced the ethos of the contract, and as a result of working closely with Warwickshire County Council delivered significant cost savings on the project through a value engineering process.
Hunters Lane Recycling Centre was opened in March 2008 and was delivered on time, under budget and to a high standard of quality.

CONTRACT VALUE: £1.5 MILLION
CONTRACT DURATION: 26 Weeks

The project consisted of the demolition of the existing tip facility and the construction of a new recycling centre.
• Demolition of existing buildings and crushing on-site to incorporate back into the works (4600 tonnes of concrete from the demolition was reused as fill materials for the elevated ramps on the new site).
• Construction of both Earth retaining and reinforced concrete walls
• Construction of reinforced concrete slabs and blacktop access roads
• Installation of modular buildings.
